A fun way for kids and teens to straighten their teeth, WildSmiles give patients the opportunity to design their own smile with star, heart, sports, flower, and diamond themed brackets. They’re perfect to help kids express themselves and have fun with the braces process – making it a positive experience for everyone.
An overview of WildSmiles
Before your child’s WildSmiles braces can be placed, the two of you will need to attend a consultation at 360 Orthodontics. During that initial meeting, Dr. Partovi will carefully examine your child’s mouth, before taking x-rays, measurements and impressions. The purpose of this meeting is for Dr. Partovi to gain a deeper understanding of your child’s dental issues, so she can begin developing a plan to address them.
As a treatment, WildSmiles work exactly the same as metal braces – they just have a fun and funky new look. To begin, Dr. Partovi will attach your child’s WildSmiles brackets to the front of their teeth, connected by a wire and elastic rings that come in a variety of colorful hues. Over the next several months, your child will need to return to 360 Orthodontics periodically, so Dr. Partovi can tighten their braces and continue gradually moving their teeth to an ideal straightened position.
Benefits of WildSmiles braces
There’s a reason why WildSmiles are the braces of choice for our younger patients. They allow kids and teens to express themselves with a fun new look while they straighten their teeth. Plus, the brackets are made out of high-grade stainless steel – which means they’re as strong as traditional metal braces and thus can move teeth just as rapidly.
